Calinda is a Master’s candidate in Public Administration at Dalhousie University, graduating in April 2018. Her focus is on how big data will affect public policy-making in the future. She worked on Parliament Hill as a legislative assistant to NDP MPs for 12 years, focusing on Indigenous issues, health and employment. In her volunteer life, Calinda is an affordable housing advocate.
